The World Moving to Building of Metropolitan Cities and Crimea Will not Stay Away this Trend

Nikolay Saprunov, Director General of Crimea Development Corporation addressed the investment section of the 3rd Construction Exhibition Construct Crimea 2018 with a report.

"The entire world is moving to creation of metropolitan cities, cities are becoming agglomerations. Crimea is not left out of this trend. In 2016, Crimea was the sixth regarding the growth rates in the Russian Federation. According to the optimistic scenario presented in the Development Strategy for the Republic of Crimea until 2030, in the 12 years the population in the Republic may increase from 1.9 million people to 2.5 million. The population of Simferopol may increase from 350 thousand people to 450 thousand," noted the head of CDC.

Besides, Nikolay Saprunov told the section attendees about the results of the investment activities in the construction industry. The approximate number of construction projects being implemented in the free economic zone with application of special procedure is 300 with the committed investments on these projects amounting to over RUB 80 billion. In 2015, there were less than 5 construction projects, and the total investment volume on them was hardly one billion rubles.

Besides, Director General told about the work of the Corporation with investors and provided examples of construction projects being implemented in the territory of the republic. The Corporation is providing support to several investment projects on construction of residential complexes. The largest construction facilities include residential estates "City of the World" and "Zhigulina Roshcha", as well as residential quarters being constructed by Petrokomplekt, and construction of a new house with parking under the investment agreement with Vladograd.

The Corporation also has construction projects in the area of construction materials production. They include a project on processing of stone waste and production of construction materials Stroymaterialservis, bitumen concrete plant Krym-Magistral, and concrete products plant Aktiv Group.
